The Truth On Weight Loss Powders In 2020
Hi ,
A reader asks.
“My flatmate has a weight loss powder that is the best on the market.
Are these really good for you?
However, I have been taking it for a week and feel like it gives me gas and doesn’t seem to
agree with me.
I know it contains prebiotics and probiotics. Plus other minerals and vitamins.”
Ingrid, Cotswolds, UK.
Thanks Ingrid for the question.
These types of supplements work because you actually substitute one meal with a low calorie drink, thereby cutting back substantially the amount of calories ingested.
Now the problem is that these supplements do not always contain natural products.
They can be processed and when given to someone who is sensitive to these ingredients you can sometimes have a reaction. From being upset with gas to constipation.
Plus they cost a lot money, as my friend also takes them and misses one meal everyday.
Now it still is ok to take them. I would make my own and be sure to get fresh and natural ingredients that I know are good.
This is a simple recipe that I have used to make a green smoothie with.
1 cup coconut water.
1cup greens, like spinach.
1 Banana.
½ Teaspoon cinnamon.
½ Cup natural yoghurt. Ice is optional, so is 1 teaspoon on Chia seeds, Pumkin seeds or a few Almonds or Walnuts.
The nuts and seeds provide protein along with the yoghurt.
Play around with the recipe and design your own.
Adding coconut oil as well will provide medium chain fatty acids about 1 to 2 teaspoons.
I recommend that you take this as well for a few months to stimulate your metabolism and lose weight.
Natural products are always better to take to lose weight and get your health on track.
They have all the naturally occurring minerals to boost your bodies function.
From losing belly fat, feeling healthier, reducing stress and sugar cravings.
These are some of the conditions that natural products can help with.
