Whole Foods To Lose Weight

Posted By : SuperFit | Date : 16-01-2020

A reader states. “ I have been eating oats with great benefit in losing weight. Is this normal?” My partner and I have switched (about 4 months ago), to eating oats for breakfast 5-6 mornings. We were eating boxed, dry cereal, or eggs in some form, often toast. We're making the "Overnight Oats" in batches of 2-3 servings for each of us. Google recipes. Ours uses old-fashioned oats, unsweetened almond milk, some shredded, unsweetened coconut, and sometimes raisins or chopped apple. I sweeten mine with a bit of maple syrup or stevia. Making no other changes in our diet or exercise, my partner has lost 9 pounds and I'm down 6 pounds.  Another unexpected benefit for me, is that the diverticulitis pain I've had for a long time, has gone away. Overnight Oats seem to act like scrubbing bubbles for the colon. Love to hear your results. I never much liked the consistency of cooked oats but the “Overnight Oats”

How To Look Good When Losing Fat

Posted By : SuperFit | Date : 01-01-2020

Hi, A reader posted this concern. “My problem is I am only fat around the belly. The rest of me is skinny. By the time I lose the belly fat my face is sunken like a meth head. What do I need to do to lose just the belly fat?” DavidT1. Atlanta USA. Thanks David for the question. Losing fat and toning up does not mean you have to lose muscle. It’s the last thing that I would want to see happen. Shrink away like you have anorexia is not healthy. You need to concentrate on getting fit and eating right. Incorporate some of your favourite cardio, mix it up. Develop strength and muscle is the difference between losing fat and toning up or looking like a “meth head” and shrinking. "Make sure you eat more healthy fat throughout the day." This might sound counterintuitive but most people eat too

Is A Vegetarian Diet The Fastest Way To Lose Belly Fat?

Posted By : SuperFit | Date : 29-12-2019

Hope you have been enjoying the holiday season. That you have had the opportunity to get in some exercise and enjoy being with your family. I was watching a documentary the other day about Roman Gladiators. There is not much on around holiday time on tv. However being interested in their training regime and how strong they were I kept watching. What I heard next was unbelievable. Archeologists  have studied that they were extremely fit and strong. They know this from bones they have found. They have cut cross sections and measured their bones. They were very strong and thick. Not under nourished little weaklings as you would think, way back then. The biggest surprise was that they were on a vegetarian diet. Eating porridge in the morning of wheat, barley, and oats, mainly, and also spelt and rye. Then I saw a documentary with Arnold Schwarzenegger introducing a program, he produced. It was about vegetarians in sport,

Posted By : SuperFit | Date : 13-12-2019

1 Year Ago I Had A Build Up Of Belly Fat And Didn’t Feel Fit At All. I was searching for a system to tone up and “Burn” belly fat.To get fit and feel good about myself.I live next to the beach and wanted to be able to feel good when going for a swim. I started a program form home only twice per week to start with. Building to 3 times per week. Some running on other days to get in a good cardio workout. Combined with a diet that included lots of veggies and fish. The results were in 6 months I was transformed. More muscle, stronger, less belly fat , my clothes fitted better and a six pack starting to appear. Not bad for 58 years old. The benefits were better sleep, less snoring whilst sleeping, more energy and more confidence when at the beach. Long term there are

Dave, posted this question. “Hi there, I do not work out at all! Where should I start? I have belly fat and my clothes do not fit.” Dave, Dublin Ireland. Solid question, Dave. If you do not work out at all, you're going to lose muscle mass every year. The result will be you'll get fatter and heavier each and every year with less tone and more sag. Do you want this to be you in a few years?  “No way, right?” The best and fastest way to get your muscles toned and belly shrunk is resistance training. There is a secret: not many people are doing it right! I have made it a point to watch many gym goers over the years. The ones that looked the fittest and the youngest, most defined and lowest body fat were the ones who had a quick workout.

5 Steps To Losing Weight With The Mediterranean Diet

As you get past the age of 30 years old, your muscle mass is already decreasing with every year that passes. So if you are concerned about your weight, belly fat or just want to get some sort of fitness back. It is a good idea to start doing some type of exercise that prevents many age related problems and melts fat from those ugly areas of your body. It is not something you think about. However, lack of fitness and mobility can cause you many problems as you age. Anything from falling to muscle tears and generally a lack of vitality and wellbeing. I would rather be active and prevent those things to happen. Than not be able to walk or not able to lift things because my muscles were now like jelly. This happens to many older people. So how can you start a program and get

Not Losing Belly Fat

Posted By : SuperFit | Date : 26-11-2019

Hi, A guy ask's, I am not losing belly fat.” Can anyone help? “Looking on some advice on the best way of reducing my belly. On the whole people would think I’m very slim BUT I know I have a bit of a belly. Know I’m not alone as a middle aged man (45) but find it really annoying that no matter what I do I can’t shift it from there. I’m pretty fit and run, play football as well as cycle. Diet is ok, don’t eat much fruit and vegetables but on the other hand don’t have a lot of bad/junk food. I know alcohol can be a big issue but only drink at weekends - bottle wine or few beers. Anyone have any tips and advice? Or do I just accept that’s what happens with age as I still want to enjoy life and not give up all

Belly fat Is a bad type of fat because it contributes to diabetes and heart disease. It is found underneath the abdominal muscles and surrounds the liver, kidneys, spleen and pancreas.  Sometimes it is referred to as visceral fat. It is different to the fat that is found under your skin, which is called subcutaneous fat. Subcutaneous fat is released into the circulation whereby belly fat is released into the liver.  The liver releases high levels of triglycerides into the blood stream.  This results in making the body resistant to insulin, and the onset of type 2 diabetes and heart disease.   How To Get Rid Of Belly Fat   The best exercise most people think is to start jogging on a tread mill or lifting weights.  There is something that is much more FASTER and time effective and that is interval training! How to Lose Belly Fat if You Are Over 50?

Posted By : SuperFit | Date : 31-10-2019

Age and belly fat is  something we live with or we want to do something about. I know all well as my “fat creeps” on and sticks like some monster that won’t go away!  Alright I know that is  how it seems, however there is an answer.  You see men start losing their testosterone levels as we age from 20 years old to the 30’s there is a decline, from 30 years old to the 50’s a bigger decline. This is one reason the belly fat hangs around and won’t bugger off! For women it is the same with oestrogen. The problem with this belly fat is, (also called  visceral fat) it is underneath and surrounding the organs it is not healthy. It also places us of risk of diabetes and high blood pressure/ heart disease.  We do not have a lot of control over our diminishing hormones. We can reduce

“Low carb, low fat, low sugar, paleo, fasting, juicing?

Posted By : SuperFit | Date : 30-10-2019

Maxnas in the UK, posted an interesting view on diets.  Confusing as hell right! Which diet is the right one & what should you be doing? There’s tons of information on the internet & it all seems to contradict each other, a mind-field of confusion! Here’s the deal! If you want to lose fat & get lean, you HAVE to create an imbalance between the calories you consume (eat/drink) and the calories you expend (through movement, activity & basically existing) You have to create what’s called Calorie deficit. Forget the green tea, the 6 smalls meals per day, the low fat diets, the no carbs after 6pm chatter. All of that stuff is pure hyperbole & BS purposely designed to keep you confused, out of shape & in a vicious cycle of buying product after product, never reaching your goals & basically just to use you as a permanent cash
